For ten years Mr. Gael Hammer and Mr. Gary Goodwin have
volunteered their "pristine white cottage, which features a garden that completely encircles the house and spills out into the front and back yards."
The "extensive garden is a sight to behold with hanging plants dangling from several points along the roof line, potted plants lining the back deck and vines that wrap in and around the woodwork along the front porch. The thick green plants are splashed with every color of the rainbow from a myriad of different flowers intercepted by stone walkways, cast-iron
furniture and bird houses" - Waterbury Republican (2001)
Garbed all in white, the guests make a pleasant contrast to the profusion of colors from the gardens. While sipping their choice of tea, water or wine and sampling a variety of delicacies from local restaurants, guests might make a bid on a silent auction item, watch a live hawk & owl presentation by Wind Over Wings, or have their fortune read by David Epperson or Barbara Scofield. Some of the guests might partake in the Hat Contest, while other guests may just enjoy a summer evening with friends listening to the music.
